G’day 2016

First of all I’ll start by wishing you all a very Happy New Year! What an incredible year 2015 was… Mine began with me packing up my life into 30kgs and flying 10,497 miles to Melbourne, Australia, to embark on an exciting journey down a new career path. Having spent the last year learning how to be a secondary school art teacher at Monash University, mainly through researching, writing almost 40,000 words in an academic language, and spending time working with fantastic teenagers in schools, I feel that I am headed in the right direction for the first time in my life. As an art teacher, you need to be able to teach a variety of art techniques, methods and processes, so with one year of study left, in 2016 I am determined to spend more time experimenting with various art forms and continuing to build my own art practice. In the meantime, here are some pieces I made for a Collage project as part of the course:

The Tomato Series

Place To Lay One’s Head

Rationed Goods
