Swiss & Shout

This summer I had the opportunity to visit a lovely Swedish friend of mine who is currently living in Zurich, Switzerland. During my five days, I was totally spoilt with fine weather, amazing views, beautiful architecture and street art. A personal highlight was the  numerous water fountains pumping fresh water from the alps and the sparkling clean (not to mention free) public toilets! I also sampled the most delicious vegetarian food I have ever tasted in the Western world at a popular restaurant called Hitl.  There is some fantastic Swiss treasure to be found along the cobbled streets – my favourite contemporary jewellery gallery was Friends of Carlotta where I was unable to resist the urge to splurge and invested in a quirky silicone ring! Life in Zurich seems pretty peaceful but clearly has a young creative buzz and at the end of my trip I felt so far removed from my hectic life in London that I didn’t want to return…
